3-finger splitting cap SET with sealing tape

The SKE 25-300 is a 3-finger splitting cap (also known as a "breakout cap") that has been specially developed for multi-core low-voltage and medium-voltage cables. It is used to reliably seal and mechanically protect the sheath transition between the common outer sheath and the individual cores.

Details

Structure & mode of operation

• The cap consists of a heat-shrinkable polyolefin that fits snugly around the cable sheath and cores when heated.
• The three fingers enable the clean separation and sealing of three individual conductors.
  
• The set is designed for cable cross-sections from 25 mm² to 300 mm² and therefore covers a very wide range of applications.
  

Sealing tape (sealing tape)
The set includes a highly flexible sealing tape that:

• Compensates for unevenness and tolerances at the sheath transition
• Particularly important: Tridelta compensation (compensation of the typical steps/transitions in Tridelta cable constructions)
• Ensures a complete moisture seal
• Remains dimensionally stable even with temperature fluctuations
