Scotch® Semi-Conducting Tape 13 is a highly conformable, high voltage, semi-conductive splicing tape based on ethylene propylene rubber resin. This semi-conductive tape stretches easily to conform to irregular shapes and retains its conductivity when stretched.
Details
- Replaces the semi-conductive layer under the metallic shield in various medium voltage cable repairs and splices
- Electrically rounds off high-voltage connection elements and bonds with insulating materials to minimize electrical stresses
- Temperature resistant up to 90 °C
- Rounding of rivets on insulated busbars
- Provides shielding for cable splices on solid dielectric insulated power cables
- ASTM approved and RoHS 2011/65/EU compliant.
- Do not use for electrical insulation
Scotch® Semiconductor Tape 13 can be easily elongated to conform to irregular shapes and retains its conductivity when stretched. It is stable over a wide temperature range and does not affect the conductivity of semi-conductive cable jackets. This tape is used for high voltage connections and provides further cable shielding.
