IM 3 / IM 4 / IM 6 Cable Clamps
The IM cable clamps were developed for the secure and short-circuit-resistant fastening of single-core and multi-core low-, medium-, and high-voltage cables. They are particularly suitable for electrical systems and installations where high mechanical forces and short-circuit forces may occur.
The IM cable clamps are tested in accordance with the international standard DIN EN IEC 61914:2023 and offer a reliable solution for professional cable fastening in power supply systems, switchgear, and industrial installations.
Flexible Cable Fastening with IM Cable Blocks
A particular advantage of the Dutchclamp® IM series is its modular system. The cable blocks can be linked side-by-side using a practical dovetail joint and can also be stacked on top of one another. This allows for different cable arrangements and multiple cable systems to be implemented using a single flexible fastening system.
The special shape of the cable supports ensures even pressure distribution and a secure hold without sharp edges. This prevents localized stress and reliably protects the cable insulation.
High-Quality Materials for Demanding Applications
The Dutchclamp® IM cable blocks are made of high-quality glass-fiber-reinforced polyamide. This robust material is suitable for applications involving high mechanical stresses and demanding environmental conditions.
Among other things, the cable blocks are resistant to oils, greases, UV radiation, ozone, frost, heat, moisture, salts, acids, and alkalis. The temperature range extends from -40 °C to +125 °C; higher temperatures are also possible for short periods.
IM Cable Blocks for Various Cable Configurations
The IM series is available for different cable diameters and numbers of cables. Depending on the model, 3, 4, or 6 cables can be secured. The available variants cover cable diameters from 12 to 32 mm and from 32 to 48 mm.
The combination of side-by-side and stackable configurations allows even larger cable systems and complex installations to be implemented efficiently.
Short-Circuit-Resistant Cable Fastening According to IEC 61914
When installing power cables, reliable fastening is crucial, especially when high electrodynamic short-circuit forces may occur in the event of a fault. The Dutchclamp® IM cable blocks were developed for such applications and tested in accordance with DIN EN IEC 61914:2023. Tests were conducted by UL, Voltalab Grenoble (Schneider), and SGS Brussels, among others.
Thanks to their high mechanical strength and robust material properties, the IM cable clamps offer a durable and reliable solution for short-circuit-resistant cable fastening.
