Armorcast™ Structural Material is a flexible, stretchable non-woven fiberglass impregnated with a special curable polyurethane resin. When properly applied, Armorcast cures to form a tough, durable composite material that is ideal for mechanical reinforcement and protection of cables and joints.

Functionality & advantages
- Activation by adding water: When moistened, the fabric becomes tacky and adheres to itself - without heat, naked flames or electrical energy.
Hardening & strength:
- Hardens within approx. 30 minutes
- Fully cured after ~24 hours
Protective effect:
- Resistant to moisture, fungi, chemicals, ozone, UV radiation, fuels and high temperatures
Possible applications:
- Ideal for repairs to shielded or lead-coated cables, both pressurized and non-pressurized systems
Areas of application
- Repair of damaged cable sheaths or lead sheath elements
- Additional mechanical reinforcement after installation
- Sealing against mechanical forces, moisture and harmful environmental influences
- Can be used with various cable types: Coaxial, copper and fiber optic cables with polyethylene or lead sheaths
